A global leader in quantitative finance sought to modernize its internal operations. With a complex ecosystem spanning multiple platforms and a high volume of financial transactions, our client required a solution to streamline invoice reconciliation and reduce operational risk.
Their finance team faced an intensive, error-prone process for reconciling vendor invoices across several systems. Data was scattered between platforms such as Jira and others, with vendor information, accounts, and payment records siloed and manually compiled into spreadsheets. Each week, our client’s staff spent significant time matching invoices to payments, increasing the risk of mistakes and delayed payments.
Solution
CloudX delivered an AI-powered invoice analysis tool designed to automate and optimize the reconciliation process. This agentic solution aggregates and consolidates data from all relevant sources, while also enabling users to upload missing invoices directly to the platform.
Built on Anthropic’s Claude for superior accuracy, our AI agent processes invoices in various formats, such as PDFs and photos, using parsing and image recognition to extract key information. It then intelligently matches invoices to payment records in the client’s internal database. The system provides period-based analysis and flags discrepancies for manual review, dramatically reducing manual workload.
