CloudX at AI in Finance 2025: leading the AI-first transformation
Corporate Communications
On September 16th, CloudX proudly participated as platinum sponsor at AI in Finance Convention and Expo 2025, hosted at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center. This event, part of the broader AI in Latam initiative, brought together the region’s most influential voices in Artificial Intelligence and disruptive technologies.
With over 1,300 senior executives and 50+ industry-leading speakers, AI in Finance 2025 provided a unique forum for strategic dialogue, actionable insights, and the exchange of real-world impact stories shaping the future of finance in the AI era.

CloudX’s thought leadership on stage
CloudX was honored to have two of our leaders featured as speakers: Axel Abulafia (Chief Business Officer) and Erik Davidsson (AI R&D Lead).
Axel Abulafia: The road to an AI-first company
Axel joined a distinguished panel with Esteban Elia (MODO) and Matías Hirschmann (AI in Latam), sharing CloudX’s blueprint for becoming an AI-first company. He offered a transparent look at the strategic decisions that have driven our transformation:
- A senior-only workforce, guaranteeing expertise at every level
- 100% AI-certified staff
- A relentless R&D team pushing the boundaries of new technology
- AI embedded across all company areas
- A culture of continuous learning, open experimentation, and transversal adoption
For CloudX, being AI-first is a measurable commitment. We experiment, we upskill, and we deliver real solutions. The AI era is accelerating faster than any previous technological revolution. Building a vision for an AI-powered world starts today, because the future won’t wait. Axel’s message was clear: cultivating an AI-first culture requires ongoing, organization-wide dedication to learning, experimentation, and measurable progress.

Erik Davidsson: The 5% Club — Key strategies to generate real value with AI
Erik’s keynote addressed a critical industry challenge: according to MIT’s NANDA program, 95% of Generative AI initiatives see no return, while only 5% achieve measurable success.
Erik outlined the key differentiators:
- Many AI projects fail not due to resistance or lack of interest, but because they try to solve everything at once, lack clear metrics, or don’t deliver a tangible user benefit.
- The secret to joining the 5%? There’s no magic formula, but the odds improve dramatically when industry experts and stakeholders are embedded in every step of the process, working side by side with development teams.
- Defining clear metrics and KPIs from day one is essential, both for technical performance and business impact. If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.
Erik emphasized that true AI maturity comes from solving real problems, not searching for problems to fit pre-built solutions. Listening to users, validating value with hard metrics (cost reduction, time savings, error rates, P&L impact), and ensuring adoption are non-negotiable for long-term success.

CloudX: AI-ready. Empowering people. Transforming industries.
AI in Finance 2025 was a catalyst for meaningful conversations and actionable insights. At CloudX, we remain committed to our purpose of being the catalyst for positive change, unlocking human potential with intelligent technology, and building an empowered present to guide the path of the future.
