The Challenge

Precision AQ provides Commercial Data Management Solutions, Analytic Solutions, Market Access and EHR Solutions. One of their biggest limitations was that they relied on manual standardization of data, which was very disparate as it came from diverse sources, had different naming conventions and data granularity. The manual process of standardization was repeated for every single client, adding considerable overhead to each deliverable. Additionally, their infrastructure was limited—on-premise SQL, with a fixed amount of computing resources that consequently created bottlenecks.

Precision AQ sought a partnership with CloudX in order to build a consistent platform for operational delivery processes with an automated feature that enabled efficiency, reduction of errors and standardization.

As Precision AQ’s technology partners, we worked closely with their team to build a consistent platform for operational delivery processes. This platform aimed to streamline their workflow in order to drastically reduce data errors and other incidents requiring reprocessing.

Main aspects of the solution

Modular data pipeline

Built by automating our client’s core business logic into a heavily parameterized codebase, following Data Engineering best practices. This solution successfully replaced a challenging, error-prone manual process.

Platform for operational delivery

A modular Node.js app acts as a custom automation Orchestrator, handling source data ingestion and applying extensible, sequential data transformations on a client’s dataset as needed. In addition, new operations can be integrated and combined, plus generic templates can also be derived for even more complex scenarios.

Cloud data warehouse

Seamlessly and with zero downtime, we migrated all of our client’s datasets to Snowflake, replacing their on-premise infrastructure and lifting resource limitations that led to process bottlenecks.

Over +3 years in our partnership with Precision AQ, we built a platform that saved valuable time and increased efficiency in our client’s operations. Besides that, we helped our client organize tasks, increase work stream predictability and facilitate feature prioritization and execution in agile sprints.

Our platform enabled robustness and high availability for client data, and increased product flexibility by providing a modular customizable data pipeline able to adapt to diverse data needs and sources. As a result, Precision AQ was able to accelerate and improve the delivery of their products. Additionally, they were able to substantially reduce time-to-market for new client onboarding, which was very difficult before due to a lengthy and manual process.
